2019 | Physiotherapy and Kinesiology Latin American Faculty Research Award
In the IX Physiotherapy and Kinesiology Latin American Faculty Meeting, held in Barranquilla, Colombia, the Network of Rehab Workers of the Americas Research Groups won the second place of the Physiotherapy and Kinesiology Latin American Faculty Research Award for their research entitled, “Capacity building in rehabilitation in Honduras through workshops: an international collaboration strategy”. The award is issued to the group who made an outstanding contribution to research in academic training, the management or innovation processes related to Physiotherapy/Kinesiology in Latin America. The top awardees were selected by the Latin American Center for the Development of Physiotherapy and Kinesiology review committee from all the successful submitted applications. These awards recognize top-ranked research completed in the last four years according to a rigorous peer-review process. The awarded research was carried out under the visiting program of the Network of Rehab Workers of the Americas, which is a group of Hondurans, Canadians, Argentinians, and Colombians interested in building rehab capacity in Honduras.
